This unit can be upgraded to accept fiber optic connections, which allow the transmission of bi-directional 4K video, audio, and talkback signals up to 28 miles without any loss of signal quality. With a compact 1 RU size, it can easily fit into standard rack-mount equipment, making it a versatile choice for broadcast environments.

The ATEM Talkback Converter 4K also includes talkback features, such as a built-in speaker and microphone inputs, as well as a headphone jack for private communication. The talkback system operates on SDI audio channels 15 and 16, allowing for easy communication between the control room and camera operators without relying on walkie-talkies. The unit’s Tally feature ensures that camera operators are notified of which camera is live. Additionally, the system supports muting and unmuting of individual camera operators for better control of audio communication.

With eight independent SDI-to-optical and optical-to-SDI converters, the ATEM Talkback Converter 4K offers flexible video routing and compatibility with the ATEM Camera Converter.
