The camera is ideal for live event production, including sports coverage, concerts, and game shows, where accurate color reproduction and high sensitivity are crucial.

The HXC-FB80 supports HDR (Hybrid Log-Gamma, HLG), making it suitable for high-quality HDR production, offering deeper contrast and a broader color range. When paired with the optional HXCU-FB80 Camera Control Unit (CCU), the camera can upscale footage to 4K, providing future-proofing for high-definition broadcasts.

The camera integrates seamlessly into existing broadcast infrastructures through its SMPTE LEMO connector, enabling flexible single- or hybrid-fiber cable options for reliable signal transmission. The HXC-FB80 can also be remotely controlled via optional HZC-RCP5 software, which allows you to control up to five cameras simultaneously. This software includes full paint functions like Detail, Matrix, and Knee settings for precise control over the image quality.

While the HXC-FB80 does not come with an onboard EVF or monitor, these components can be added separately, giving users flexibility in their setup. Its versatility in connectivity includes 8-pin RS-422, 3G/HD-SDI output, dual XLR audio inputs, and various other professional broadcast ports for full integration into complex broadcast environments.
